Mirra Andreeva and Marta Kostyuk have advanced to the Madrid Open final on red clay, according to Tennis Majors. The pair's path to the final came despite the presence of higher-ranked players including Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff, and Iga Świątek in the draw.
The two competitors have dominated on the dirt surface this spring, combining for 22 wins against just one loss on clay. Their strong form on the red clay comes three weeks before the start of Roland-Garros, the Grand Slam played on the same surface. The Madrid final will serve as a significant test of their momentum heading into Paris.
The Madrid Open final is scheduled for the coming days on the Spanish capital's red clay courts.
