Coquitlam Council has approved final design plans for a new tennis facility at Town Centre Park, with construction set to begin this summer. The expanded facility will include 10 dedicated full-size courts and one half court, all with high-quality playing surfaces and LED sports lighting.
What is being built?
The new facility will feature 10 full-size tennis courts and one half court, all equipped with LED sports lighting for improved visibility and extended play hours. Once construction is complete, the existing tennis courts at the site will be converted into open lawn space for community use, including events, festivals, picnics, and informal recreation.
When does construction start?
Construction is scheduled to begin this summer following the Council approval on Monday, June 24, 2026. No completion date has been announced.
