Alexis Galarneau defeated Argentina's Facundo Díaz Acosta 6-2, 6-2 on Monday to reach the second round of Wimbledon qualifying, moving one step closer to his first Grand Slam main-draw appearance. The 27-year-old from Laval, Quebec, converted five of ten break-point chances to secure the victory. Galarneau will face England's Oliver Tarvet on Wednesday; Tarvet defeated Galarneau in the second round of Wimbledon qualifying last year.

Bianca Andreescu won her opening match 6-4, 6-2 over Polona Hercog on Tuesday, setting up a second-round clash with Switzerland's Jil Teichmann. The 26-year-old from Mississauga, Ontario, won 84 per cent of first-serve points and saved both break points she faced. Andreescu, a former world No. 4, reached the third round of Wimbledon twice previously and is seeking to return to the main draw after losing in the second round of qualifying last year.
Toronto's Katherine Sebov also progressed, defeating Argentina's Jazmin Ortenzi 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the second round, where she will face Germany's Noma Noha Akugue. Sebov is pursuing her second Grand Slam main-draw appearance after competing at the 2023 Australian Open.

Carol Zhao, Cadence Brace, and Kayla Cross were defeated in their first-round qualifying matches. Liam Draxl of Newmarket, Ontario, lost his opening match 2-6, 7-6(3), 6-1 to Switzerland's Remy Bertola on Monday.
The main draw begins June 29, with the men's and women's qualifying tournaments concluding before then.
