Thomas Venos has been named the Sport BC Male Athlete with a Disability at the 2026 Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards, recognizing his success in wheelchair tennis including three ITF titles in 2025 and victory at the National Bank Open wheelchair event.
Canada will face Brazil in a Davis Cup World Group I Qualifier at Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver on February 6 and 7, 2026. The two-day tie will feature singles and doubles matches.
Vancouver will host the WC50 International Wheelchair Tennis Tournament in 2026, featuring men's and women's singles and quad draws. The ITF-sanctioned event is open to junior and senior competitors.
